Unfortunately I was unable to make the event, but I was more than happy to be able to send a couple scrolls for the event. Coral BranchI was very happy and honored to make a scroll for one of the current Scrivener Royals (a position I have held) who is also a very dear friend. From a page in the Visconti Hours (late 14th Century, Italy), this was done on Pergamenta, with gouache, finetec gold, and Higgins ink. The finished illustration size is roughly 10 x 8 inches. The calligraphy was also taken from the same manuscript. I used a Windsor series 7 size 00 and a Grumbacher size 000. UndineI was also honored to do an Undine (Queen's Award) for Baroness Elizabeth of Rosewood. For hers, I went with the Luttrell Psalter (c. 1320-1340, England). This was done on Bristol board, roughly about 6x4" I used gouache, finetec gold, and Higgins ink.
